Our Staff

My name is Sofía Martínez Romero, and I am an academic teacher specialising in both Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE) and English language instruction. I hold a university degree along with a specialised ELE certification, as well as a CELTA qualification for teaching English to adults - together, these prepared me to help students achieve genuine fluency and confidence in communication across both languages. These qualifications marked the beginning of my teaching career, and since then I have built over 900 hours of classroom experience across Spain and Latin America.

For the past several years, I have had the privilege of teaching at Alcañiz English House, where I am committed to delivering high-quality education across all levels, from A1 to C1, in line with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), following the curricular guidelines set out by (PCIC). My approach is rooted in communicative, learner-centred methodology, with a strong focus on curriculum planning and ongoing evaluation of student progress.

It is a great pleasure to be part of the language-learning community at Alcañiz English House, and I look forward to continuing to support students on their journey to fluency in both Spanish and English.
